Revs up and down and stalls at idle Annother very common fault here usualy caused by the idle stepper motor, located on the side of the throttle housing, these units are quite cheaply made and go wrong all the time. The little motor that runns them are not realy up to much. These units need to be replaced to cure the problem, although they do come appart and start working again they don’t usualy last long after, just replacing the part on this management system will not stop the fault by itself as the ecu will still try to compensate for the old faulty unit so it is important that the basic settings are reset with a dedicataed diagnostic tool |
