Peugeot  common faults

Peugeot 206, 306 1994 - 97
Idle problems  and/or blown ignition coil
Peugeot 306 1.4 / 1.8(16V) and 406 1.8(16V)  models from 1997 to 2002 fitted with Sagem SL96 engine management ECU

Another common problem with the Peugeot system
Sagem SL96-9 this ECU blows due to the ignition coils breaking down.
 This manifests it self as a misfire and the  engine will be erratic at idle or may not start.
The only way to resolve this is to replace the ignition coil and repair/replace the ECU.

This is another ECU fault IAW 1AP.80 ECU. Replacing the ECU, coil pack & stepper motor will solve the problem.
